Hi

I cant seem to get a straight answer officially anywhere, so im hoping someone here will give me a best guess on the proccessing times now.

I applied for PR and my wife to sponser me Jan 6 - 2020 and we were told to expect 2-3 months before hearing anything but the timeline doesnt make sence any more.

2 weeks after we applied my wife was approved to sponsor me.
  1. Feb 5 i was requested to do Biometrics (was completed 2 days later)
  2. Feb 6 i was requested to do health check (was completed 4 days later)
  3. March 2nd we got the message "your application for PR is forwarded to the visa office in CPC Mississauga for further processing."

We use a representative from Ottawa and they are too "nervous" to guess on a timeline when it will be approved, even though they feel we have an easy case. We've been married for 10+ years, we have children together, own business and home, cars and so on in Europe where we live now.

I have a job oppertunitty here in Europe now that i would like to take if i know it will be 6+ months before its approved, however we are eager to leave once approved so i am kinda hoping someone out there could give their opinion/experience on what timeline we can hope for now ?

Thanks :)

Processing times are around twelve months. You are in the early stages right now. Due you apply inland or Outland? If inland then taking a job offer outside of Canada will most likely cancel your pr application. If Outland then you are fine.
