Timeline Question???

I sent my application on Friday 13th April.

Does anyone know how long it will be before I hear back as I am applying within Canada and my 6 months runs out 15th June and my extension application was in with my sponsorship application.

Someone else should be able to answer this better, but shouldn't your extension application go to a different department? I had to send my husbands restoration of status separate from the PR app...??

According to the website, for Inland Applications, sponsorship approval is 11 months and step 2 is 8 months.

I was told on the phone to send all paperwork together, that I had to send my open work permit application in with my sponsorship application as all the payment was together.

Sunshine my question wasn't meant for the processing times I understand its 11 months for the first stage. My question probably should have been a little clearer. I want to know when I will hear that they have received my application to extend my stay as like I mentioned I am only legally here until june without it.

Also here is what was in the email I received.

"Open Work Permit – Sponsorship of a Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada

If a spouse or common-law partner is sponsored from inside Canada, they can apply for an open work permit by completing an Application to Change Conditions or Extend Your Stay in Canada as a Worker (IMM 5553). This application must be sent before their status expires in the same envelope as the sponsorship application."
