Hi everyone,
I’ve got a bit of unusual situation. Me and my partner submitted our CEC Inland application in October 2017. Unfortunately, we had to battle Medical Fairness Letter that we received. After submitting it Medical status changed to “You have passed Medical”.
From reading December 2018 GCMS notes it is clear that we passed Eligibility, Criminality and now Medical. Security read Not Started.
It took them 1.5 years to send a medical fairness letter. From reading online it appears that security screening soemtimes takes (or used ot take) close to 8-12 months as well. My BGC status went through Not Applicable to In progress to Not Applicable to “We are processing your background check. We will let you know if we need more information”. It’s been like that for about a year. My thinking is that they must have done Security screening before sending the Procedural Fairness, as the visa officer processing our case has delegated authority to finalize the application and issue any required documents.
So here are my questions:
1. Am I right in thinking that we may have already passed the security as well and should be getting PPR soon?
2. If so, what’s the timeline between IP2 and PPR considering Procedural Fairness Letter.
Our timeline:
Applied: October 2017
Medical Exam requested: late October 2017
Additional docs requested (police certificates): November 2017
Procedural Fairness Letter: March 2019
Responded: April 2019
Medical passed: May 2019
