Thank you all for contributing and sharing your stories, Cheers!
Some tips:
- Come prepared for the COPR appointment (they email you instructions), they are appreciative of that and it'll be a lot less stressful for you
- If you've even slightly interested in the prospect of PR, start logging your travel now. (i.e. exit and entry dates, destination/origin etc.) This was this most tedious process hands down. Do it for your dependants as well, whether or not they will be on your application or not.
- Budget for all related expenses in advance (e.g. medical check-up, police checks, English test etc.)
- Rally the support of your supervisor/director so that getting those letters will be easy (i.e. proof of job responsibilities, tenure, alignment with NOC etc.)
