Timeline for New Delhi Visa office!

Please share your experience about New Delhi Visa office. I am sponsoring my wife from India and going to apply in Dec after our wedding in Nov. Please share your experience and tell me what to "Do OR Not to Do" to make a speedy process! It'll definitely boost my confidence and hope.
