Hi
I am an international student of 17 years... someone has been threatening me to kill my family if I don't agree to him... I deleted everything and blocked him.... but my biggest concern is that my family is in india... is there any way that my family can come here so that I am no more threatened by that person and I can live happily with my family. ...

your family can apply for a visitor's visa and stay with you for a while, but only temporarily (6-12 months). you can't sponsor them to stay permanently since you are not a permanent resident or citizen.

about this pickle you find yourself in, you sound like you know the identity of this person who's threatening to kill your family, so why don't you forward that info to your family and ask them to report him to the police?

As a student, you can't sponsor them to live here permanently. You can only do that if you become a permanent resident, which in your case, will likely take a long time, since you're just a student starting out in 1st year. Even after you become a PR, you still need 3 straight years of meeting certain income requirements, then you also need to wait another 5 years or so before they can actually come here permanently. With this large amount of time before they can come here permanently, this isn't a good option for you.

The next one would be for them to apply for a visitor visa, however, they have a good chance to be refused since both of them will be leaving their country together, and the purpose of visit would seem unusual (parents fleeing from some online threat).

The best thing for you to do is to simply report this to the authorities, and if you still feel unsure, get your parents to move to a new neighborhood.
