Hi,

I just have a quick question, as of we speak my CRS score is 379. On my first IELTS attempt I scored
L:8 R:6.5 W:6.5 and S:7.5 I decided to appear the second time and This time I just scored L:7: R:6.5 W:7 and S:7. I know it is pretty frustrating but I am not sure what to do.

Achieving a CBL 9 would put me at 429, what do you guys think what shall I do ? Please advise me.

Thanks,
Maverick

I know this is difficult but please aim for CLB 9 and 429 would put you in a position for an ITA almost immediately if lucky or in a couple of draws at most.

So please go for IELTS again.

Go for an another try for sure!

I was in same boat but then i opted for oinp considering 2 factors.
1) there is a limit of applcns to be invited in an year. I wanted to move to toronto so i opted for oinp
2) no surety of scoring a good band in 3rd attempt

You may want to try CELPIP if you're in Canada or UAE

Honestly speaking, ielts is the safest bet. Things can be in your hands with good practice. Infact aim for a CLB 10, you should be able to crack a CLB 9.

Don't lose hope.

Structured, regular and dedicated preparation is what you need.

IELTS would be the safest and quickest step forward. With proper dedication and practice, you should sail through. Good luck.

Thanks everyone for their genuine support and encouragement. I know IELTS is my only option and I have to achieve CLB 9 in order to get a PR. I know I am very close, but the failure and the realization of appearing again along with the cost involved sometimes deter my hopes. I will start preparing again.

I know people who have cracked in 6-7 attempts. Everyone here has struggled on IELTS. Everyone has their own story. Keep trying!
