Delhi is taking 45 - 62 months to process skilled worker applications, see:http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/times-int/02a-skilled-fed.html#asia What has increased the length of time is the lowering of the points in 03 and the settlement of Rasolzadeh v. M.C.I.
which dumped another 100K applications into the mix. So I would think that you may hear something this year, if lucky.

Currently they are interviewing Jan 2001 applicants AND first reveiw of Jan 2002 applicants.PMM said:
This Jan 2001 applicants are those whose interview has been not waived by high commission and are called for interview.
Just check your start date of processing.If you do not hear from them in say next 3/5 months then be prepared to wait for total 68 months (not 62) to just get interview letter .If interview is successful then wait for another 7/8 months ,to complete rest of the formalities, before you finally get visa.Dont forget to add another 2/3 months because they inform 2/3 months in advance about interview.

That we have to wait 6-7 yrs in all now to get visas??? and then work out for 5-6 yrs in canada to get settled ??
sounds very retrogrative mindset ?? from CIC.
I think your judgement may or may not be true, anyway the global economy change may reverse the trends by the time .The CIC should take some immediate steps or a movement supposedly like not to go to canada already exists will become more correct and affect the canadian economy.
