Hi Guys,

Just read an article today about an unfortunate event that happened in CIC in the recent past. The event shows that CIC officers can make mistake, can forget and worst of all, there is no automatic mechanism that will let them know some thing is wrong. Actually, that is most worrying.

You can read the article below. The lesson to learn...as soon as you feel there is something wrong going on with the timing or some strange request comes from CIC, start asking questions. Ofcourse, i'm so glad to know this forum - every one of you are a great support. At the same time, it may actually help if you start engaging with CIC if and when you feel something is going off on your application.

Here's the article:

Critical paragraph:
The NDP accused overworked and understaffed citizenship officers of simply forgetting about the boxes of Buffalo files sitting in the corner after the move as many of the applicants hadn’t even received a file number much less been assigned a case worker which meant their applications were still in the very early stages of processing.
