my application has been processing since 9 April 2009.No change.figured i would start this thread to get a feel if others are in the same boat.

Hi,

I am happy you are here. I have been in process since Feb 2009. are you inlander? where are you from and did you receive first stage approval?

yes i am an inlander and i received a letter saying the my girlfriend is eligable to sponsor me and that the PR processing in south africa will now commence.and after recieved a letter that pretoria south africa received it.so just to clarify i am from south africa.

for me today it has been 19 months since the PR processing in South Africa started.i applied using a lawyer which hasn't been very helpful but i e-mailed him today to see what can be done.

so if your application is processed in africa, you are not inlander, it means that you have applied outland. did you have anything important in your background, like military service?

no i sent it to Vegriville and i am in Canada right now.i thought inland/outland referred to where you are and where you were went you started the process.anyway.i have nothing like military service or anything that should be holding it up.so i think it is just laying in a pile that moves very slowly.

Well thank you good luck to you aswell.

on another note has anybody had success in speeding things up by being on them calling everyday?

Are you working in Canada presently or on visitor status? Have you ordered your CAIPS notes to figure out why it's taking so long and why you haven't heard anything?

Are you inland Ira?

no i have not sent the forms for CAIPS yet as i have a lawyer i am being represented so i recon i need to ask him to send it.thanks for that i will ask him.

MOnkey I'd do that right away. The max time processing for Pretoria is listed at 17 months right now. That's a long time to be in background checks.

i agree with you kelkel i started sent my lawyer an e-mail last night and today so i am working at it.untill recently the 80% of applications processed in pretoria was 25 months
