Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
For those that are unaware of the recent change in processing from CPC-V (Vegreville, AB) to CPC-M (Mississauga, ON) for Inland applications...

Don't worry if you receive a letter [in a brown envelope] in the mail (snail mail) that tells you that your Inland application has been transferred to CPC-M for processing, because it's the new location for all Inland applications. CIC is simply transferring many that had already been received prior to the change in Jan of this year.

Take a deep breath....and relax!

After seeing the same question in various threads, I thought it might warrant its own thread.

Since no updates have come out of CPC-M, I would say there is some cause for concern. It's possible they will be slower than CPC-V.. Also: my spouse's app was transferred to CPC-M.

I agree that this impact may or may not be beneficial in the near term, but one would have to believe that there is a method to their madness.

The optimist :). I really hope you are right!

I have no faith in our lovely gov't, and until I see at least 1 AIP/DM/AOR out of CPC-M, I won't be convinced that they are going to be able to accomplish anything at all.

My (very pessimistic) prediction: there will be no news out of CPC-M for 2-3 months, and then a notice that CPC-V will be re-taking the inland apps temporarily to alleviate a processing issue in CPC-M and we'll be right back to where we are now but having lost several months..

Well...since the VO's at CPC-M have been reported to have more experience, and thus a more efficient process, you might be right! LOL!

It would be nice to know what the real catalyst was for such a massive, abrupt change in processing Inlanders.

$$$$$ 'nuff said.

From my own perspective, I'm not ready to assume that this move is a bad thing.

When I submitted my application, the processing time for AIP was estimated to be 11 months. That's basically what I `signed up for' (mentally) with the hope that it would be faster, naturally. When the processing time skyrocketed to ~8 months in mid-February I was obviously excited...then this abrupt halt.

So, when they finally get back to issuing AIPs again, as long as the times haven't surpassed what I originally signed up for...I'll be good with that.

Just my $0.02...which will not be seen as logical by some people here, I'm sure.
