Hi friends,
I have applied under the fast track skilled immigrant category 2 years ago for my husband and I , me being the main applicant. Within a few months all our papers were ready and we did the medical test and sent it back to CHC london last year, from that time, we are stuck in the " Routine Background check" as they name it for a YEAR now, My life is has become a complete mess, few months back I resigned from my job and we were ready to move but a lot of things changed during that time which has brought me to the point that I don't feel like going and living in Canada anymore.
My husband is still so interested and now my question is : Since I am the main applicant and if the damn visa ever comes he will be under mine, is it possible that I pay a visit to canada and come back , can he still live and work there by himself ?
I 'd appreciate the seniors' feedback on this matter.
Thanks

yes its possible

Yes. Both of you has to land, and you being the principal applicant have to land first, apply for PR card. Then your husband can stay and work there by himself.

Cheers

Hi Sharon... I understand the feeling of a victim of a waiting game which might have took out of your interest of the Can Immigration. But a plenty having to accept such a long wait even someone waiting for 5-6 years!! So please make and cheer up your mind and please don't fix or preset your mind with all give up thoughts... Once you receive your visa in hand believe me all ur hard plan and time will just disappear to bound with a new hope and bring new dream alive.... Believe in urself and on GOD who the only one who decide all it about....

I second that!

It'll happen, it's just a little delayed, but it'll happen! :D

I really understand the situation you are going through. Please cheer up for you are not alone. We all find ourselves in the same situation. Lets be happy we have time to enjoy our lives.
Yes, he can live and work there by himself.

yes, you both can land togather , you have to apply for PR card for both , after getting PR card if you like you can return home and your spouse will stay canada during his entire life, but after 2years staying outside canada you will lose your PR status, if you want to join your spouse if your mind is changed during this time period after or before getting PR card you can stay with your spouse and maintain your PR status automaticaly, my suggesion is stay in Canada once you get PR its nice and safe country to stay even your family future will be sure bright in Canada.

Dear Sistor, trust in God and pray, everything will be allright.

This delay is not from the Visa office, believe me it is from God, the almighty. He want you to be there at right time, at right place so that you should not suffer. Look at your past sistor, many things might have happened in your life, soon or later but at right time and for good.

You have done your work (appilication, medical etc), now let your wish, will, and your future rest in God's will. This is the way we have to win this "waiting game" of immigration without frustration.

God bless you.

Thanks friends :( but I am really tired of this, they should at least let people know, when you apply or on CIC it is written it takes between 6-18 months, why do they lie ? they could say it takes longer. It is such a shame.

Hi sharanelly,

May I suggest you to order CAIPs to know what exactly is happening/holding your file.

Please don't loose hope and Celebrate your life no matter where it takes you, no matter how difficult and know that this is only a transition.

Cheer up friend .......

Yes once you've landed you are both individually permanent residents and fighting your own battles. In order to renew your residency in 5 years' time the only requirement is that you have been living in Canada for at least 2 of those years.

However, if you are the principal applicant then your husband cannot complete his record of landing before you. Either you both go together or you must go first.

Wayne.

This is a public forum about obtaining a Permanent Residents' Visa for Canada. There are many people on here who believe many different things.

Do you really think this is an appropriate place to be preaching your religion to other people?
