hi everyone
when my husband had his medical exam done in La Paz, Bolivia we had a terrible experience with the doctor. he was rude to us and spent over 40 minutes lecturing us about the political situation in Bolivia and told us all his opinions about how terrible the government was, etc. etc. He even called us "ignorant" because we didn't know much about the candidates for an upcoming election. He made racist comments and was very offensive.
the actual medical exam took about 15 minutes to complete but we were in his office for almost 1 hour. It was an incredibly uncomfortable situation and my husband and I did our best to smile politely and hope we got out of there. After all the work and money it took to get the medical aspect finished, all we needed was his signature on the form to finally finish. We held our tongues and avoided confrontation - all the while enduring his horrible comments.
we were furious after the experience, but happy to have it over and finished. Now we really want to say something about this doctor's behaviour -maybe a letter to the Embassy here?
Just looking for opinions - would it even be worth it to say anything? If we did complain, could this somehow affect our application?
Thanks in advance
