My husband has been in Canada on a work permit since May 2010. His work permit expired on June 23, 2013 as his OHIP coverage expired with it. We applied for a permit extension so he could continue to work on implied status, but now his Permanent Residence has come in and he landed yesterday (hurray!)
Question is - when he goes to renew his OHIP, will he have to do the 3 months waiting period?
