Temporary visa to Student permit

Hello Guys,
I do have very important questions;
I have got an invitation from one university to attend a short summer course and am processing my visa.
In the meantime I have got admission from one University which requires study permit.
Once I land there for short term course
Is it possible for me to process my study permit ?
If I am going to process right now I shall miss the short term course because of time constraints.
For the school I have to look for scholarship opportunities.
Is there anyone who can give advice on how to go about scholarship opportunities ?

Is the summer program a pre-requisite to the longer program requiring a study permit? If so, then you should be able to apply for a study permit within Canada. If not, then your application can only be processed outside of Canada.

You should speak with the university you are going to be attending about scholarships. Most scholarships are reserved for domestic students.
