Hello Everyone
Please, I would really appreciate if I get a solution here.
In September,I lost my Eldest sister, who is a permanent residence over there in Canada. She left behind a 2years old son, who is currently in child support aid. We got a call from the police in charge of her belongings asking us to come pick it up, also a letter from the children's support aid and a letter from the doctor stating my sister is late.
On getting this news, we gather all letters, plus my husband's statement of account, applied for Visa but to my greatest surprise we(I and my immediate elder sister)were refused a Visas.
Please we need help to know what we didn't do right. Thanks

Truly sorry for your loss.

May I request you to please change the title of your post as a mark of respect to your deceased sister. The title of your post seems rather insensitive. Sorry.

1. Is it possible to have her body repatriated to your home country?

2. You may want to consider reapplying after her funeral/last rites are done.

3. Do post the list of documents you had submitted

For a TRV, you must prove you have a purpose to visit (which you have proved) + finances to pay for the visit (which you have not proved) + strong ties to your home country (which you have not proved).

Strong ties = Your employment/business + dependent family members + good financial situation + property/land ownership or a lease in your name + other assets, etc.

Previous travel to other visa-required countries (US, UK, Schengen, Australia, NZ, etc) can help.

Based on this, what documents can you submit?
