Hi all
:)
A letter finally arrived by email stating that the application of temporary resident of canada has been approved! yay!

Is this the work permit?
Can he travel now - the letter says that he will be given in eTA?

In the letter that will come by mail - will there be a SIN number?

Can he apply for a health card?

Why is it temporary?

Is permanent resident a separate letter?

A TRV is a visit visa, only. Valid for 6 months, but you cab apply for an extension

No he's not permitted to work, you need to apply for a work permit. there is no Healthcare and no SIN number available to temp residents. See below:

Most provinces do not provide health-care benefits to non-residents,temporary residents, returning Canadians or recently landed immigrants. Returning Canadians often must satisfy a waiting period before becoming eligible again for the provincial health insurance plan.

In most cases you need a SIN to file your income taxes. In some cases, you cannot get a SIN because you are not eligible. This is the case for some temporary residents. If you cannot get a SIN, you can use an Individual Tax Number (ITN) or Temporary Taxation Number (TTN) to file taxes, instead of a SIN.Jan 11, 2019
