I am an International student in NYC. I applied for the visa and got the initial response like this:
This message refers to your application for a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV). Please be advised that further checks and documents are required which will delay the processing of your application.

If you wish to withdraw your application early, you may present yourself at our office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday between 1:00 pm and 2: 30 pm. Please note that there will be no refund of your application fee if you choose to withdraw your application.

I found I forgot to submit my " IME 5257 schedule 1 " form. I tried to email them back, but haven't got any reply yet.

I have already book the ticket and there's only 10 days left. I really start getting nervous . Is there anything I can do to speed up the process..? or at least know how long it will take..?

Any clues are appreciated. Thanks.

Hey
Unfortunately it has been a long and brutal process for everyone, as they are really backed up right now. Your best bet would be to cancel your application... I would consider going there because they are slow even with cancelations. How long ago did you apply for the visa?

@dino14- Submit the form with a cover letter and proof of your travel.

Ask the visa officer If it will take more than a day to process, if so withdraw your application.

If they can process it by 1 day then good for you.

I have applied for more than 15 days.. I heard from second year student they said it only took them 1 week to get the initial response: approve.

:(

So the best result is withdraw the application and apply aggin immediately..? I have already run out of time.. So sad I cant spend the Christmas in Canada..

@dino14- It is a learning process. If you had submitted it on time. you would have gotten the forms back. Don't worry next time.. go through the forum, have all documents in place and apply 2 months ahead of your travel.
