Temporary Resident Visa outside Canada

Hello, Myself Veekshith Gullapudi. I applied for TRV in Montreal, Canada on 2nd of October 2020. I got Passport Request on December 17th 2020. But I arrived to India on 2nd of December 2020 due to emergency. What is the best process to submit my Passport. Many of the people said it's illegal to send the passport to other country for stamping. If I send my passport to nearest Visa office in india, the address on the file Is Canadian address.If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
