Temporary Resident Visa Expired and visitor visa extension medical check up dates !

Hi,

My visa expired on May 6th 2020 and i cannot travel back to my home country due to international travel ban then i decided to apply for extension. Now i have received a new extension visa till November 6th 2020 but issue is now they requested me to go for medical check up and when i spoke to the medical appointment i dont have any earlies t appointment till August 19th but now Covid-19 pandemic is settling. i have booked my ticket to home country on August 2nd! before i receive my extension.

In this case what should i do now can i complete my medical at home country with registered CIC medical practitioner ? the earliest is 19th August which is a month from now.

any help would be appreciated. i am awaiting to talk to Canadian embassy customer service on Monday, I'm curious and i thought someone could help me.

And CIC only gave you an extension of 6 months??? Normally the extension is at least one year.

Yes you still have to do a medical because you stayed past your visa so you already have remained during the extension period. Things like medicals now have a 90 day extension or until offices are open.

Yea they approved it for 6 Months.

I applied for my visitor extension around April 10th and no updates so far.

You are lucky to have the tickets booked. I cannot find any tickets, even with two connections...

I was already holding return ticket and i spoke to customer care which my airline is Lufthansa. so they allowed me to reschedule once flights are available. so sad i wish you will be allowed to book tickets soon and visit your home safely.

You can do the medical at home.
