I have noticed that the immigration rules say that I cannot count my Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant work that I did at McGill toward my Canadian work experience because work while a full-time student doesn't count (need to be on a work visa). However, would that experience be applicable towards my overall work experience outside of Canada?

No, it wouldn't add any points for foreign work experience.

I worked as a part-time TA during my undergrad study in India. Can I claim points for that? As I was a full time student during that period.
