Hi All,

I have a full-time 40 hours/week contract as a 'Research Scientist' initially for 03 years (but renewable) with a university, though performing my duties from the start in a technology consultant company as 'R&D Manager', which I believe falls under NOC-1125 (0) considering my job-description and assigned roles.

The 'Research Scientist' type of contract is like stipend from university, without paying tax, so I earn gross income monthly and have residence permit of type 'research scientist' which doesn't equate exactly with work-type permit.

Here under are my questions:

  • Would this foreign Work experience with tax-free income be acceptable by CIC?
  • Does the type of NOC (0,A,B,C) have any impact on Score? e.g. NOC 0 have high impact in comparison to A/B/C?

Kindly elaborate with your expert opinion.

Thanks!

Thanks a lot for very quick, precise and comforting response.

Would really appreciate, if you kindly provide your expert opinion about below as well:

My previous job role was in a R&D Center, as Project Executive - R&D as well. The experience letter from past employer contain following duties or JD:

Project Management, Formulation, Operational Consolidation
  • Coordinating various R&D Center projects initiatives
  • Managing R&D Center and supervising Development & Web Teams
Liaison between Industrial partners and funders
  • Technical review and proposals writing / submission for funding acquisitions
  • Coordination among various academic research group
Research Proposal writing and submission
  • Implementation of Project proposals, business plans

I believe this matches with NOC-0213 (as Manager - MIS may be).

Need your valuable opinion about it. If it doesn't match with NOC-0213, which other NOC would be a close match?
