Hello good people,
I am going to apply for Study Permit (Fall-19) in Canada. I have funding letter ($28000) from the university & total expenses are nearly $30000. In the checklist IMM-5850, It is asking for Income Tax for the past 2 years, however, I can get 1 year income tax clearance certificate and/or assessment. I was a full-time employee for last few years. Will it (not showing 2 years tax clearance) be any serious issue for getting the visa? ThanksInAdvance.

Which country are you applying from. If you are working for more than a year, how are you not able to submit 2 years tax return.

I am working for an institute on a contractual basis for 2.5 years, but I didnt pay the TAX. Right now, I can pay tax with its penalty for 1 year easily. I am apply from Bangladesh.
If I MUST submit 2 years tax clearance, I will pay the tax for 2 years (but that will cost me at least 10 times the penalty of the original tax as per the tax regulation)

I mean if you have to furnish the documents as requested. You can try sending only 1 years return, but how do you explain the lack of income tax when they know that you have worked in the same place. I would say that you either need to pay for your mistake of not paying the tax, or you have a risk of rejection. I honestly don't know what would happen. They do have your employment history on record.
