How exactly can I fill travel information form?

I am from India and I lived in Uk for 3 & half years, during this time I came to India for 2 months & 10 days for holidays purpose. Shall I mention this in travel history or just period during which I lived in UK.

What exactly shall I write in from & to space, i mean I came to India in July xxxx year and went back to Uk 10 Sept xxxx..(2 month & 10 days), shall I write from xxxx-07 to xxxx-09 (2 months & 10 days) or xxxx-07 to xxxx-08 (2 months)???

N Also, I lived in UK from 10 Sept 2010 to 25 march 2012...what shall i fill in from & to space. is it ok to write 2010-09 to 2012-03?
