Hello,
I am an international student who wants to take 2 semesters off to pursuing a job in my country. After that, I would love coming back to Canada to finish my final semester, and my study permit will be expired in 2022

What are the potential risks I would get of taking 2 semesters off?

Thanks.

You won’t qualify for PGWP.

You might need to apply for new study permit also, it can become invalid if you are not studying regardless of the dates on it.

my study permit will be expired in April 2022 as I addressed above. I got in 4 years program in Seneca college before. however, I've changed to a two-year program, and I only have 1 final semester left. Besides that, I still got 2 more years in study permit as well as in student Visa. Will, it becomes invalid if I take 2 semesters off?.
If it becomes invalid, then there will be potential that I would not get the study permit approval which also means all the money I've spent studying somehow becomes worthless.
