I got a 5 year visitor visa, i read online that it’s possible to change from visit visa to work permit provided you have LMIA offer. My question is how easy is it to get LMIA job offer as a Web developer with 1 year experience (my stack is JavaScript, Typescript, React,NextJs, Node.JS, Express Api). Is there any hope for my category in Canada or will i be risking and wasting money trying to go on a visit to canada. I also Heard lot of agencies collect money from individuals who want LMIA as it is business for them. I will await response. Thank you

There is no way to change or convert a TRV to a work permit. If you qualify for a work permit, then you simply apply for one. The TRV has nothing to do with it.

It's generally quite difficult to find employers willing to go through the LMIA process.

I think you will be wasting a lot of money coming to Canada and then waiting for a job offer, LMIA and work permit here. This can very easily take many months and there's of course no guarantee you will be able to find a job at all.

Financially, it makes much more sense to apply for jobs from outside of Canada and to go through all of these processes from outside of Canada.

Stay away from agencies who try to charge you money in exchange for a job offer. They are scams.

Not only are paid LMIA often scams they are also illegal. It is illegal to pay for a job in Canada but unfortunately it happens. People don’t report employers or consultants and keep paying which allows this to keep happening. It takes a huge amount of time to gather evidence and prosecute one offender which means that many go unpunished unfortunately and this practice continues. If everyone refused to pay the practice would stop. If you do pay for a job your longterm status in Canada would also be at risk if ever discovered since you also are participating in a crime.
