UK? What about an EU Passport like Ireland?

Some EU passports are scrutinized more than the other. Usually the newer EU countries that joined recently.

Russia is notoriously slow. For everything really. Unless you pay someone. I'm currently in Russia living with my spouse, might apply in September, but we'll see. We need to make sure things are okay here first with her family before we leave for Canada.
I believe there's a similar problem in Pakistan.

I follow a few spreadsheets from people applying in moscow. It seems to go 3-9 months for almost everyone. Some are more of course, but it's really not so bad for the average application.

Serious?? I've never seen 3 months... for anyone (unless they are in some special queue)!

I did see one or two in 4 months, which shocked everyone. I've also seen several go more than 16 months.

There have also been refusals in my situation (sponsor living abroad), so I'm nervous about that.

So do you think Ireland would be scrutinized?

The passport would be considered U.k. if he is from Northern Ireland.

I don't think Ireland is high on their list of MOC countries.
