Hi guys, seeking advise hoping someone has had the same case before.

My husband applied for SOWP as I am planning to attend PG certificate. His name basically has 4 compounds on all the legal documents, however as the full name exceeds the max characters allowed in the first passport page, his last name has always been mentioned in the endorsement page of the passport (Written as "Additional name : his full name). His name on the passport first page is AA BB CC.

When we applied, I am sure that his application on the CIC account is:
Last name : DD
First name : AA BB CC

The day his BIL came, his account & BIL first and last name became :
Last name : CC
First name : AA BB

I raised a webform and managed to liaise with the visa officer from my country. Luckily they do reply fast but I just feel that the answer is not clear and confusing..
I requested for them to rectify it back to DD, AA BB CC and they just told me that the name is in accordance to the new version. Additionally, I was informed that all info will be based on the passport bio page, anything on the amendment page will not be considered.

I understand completely the MRZ code as an international standard, but I am just trying to prevent any potential mismatch in the future, especially all the documents that we have submitted (imm form) include DD as last name. Things get confusing as we are not sure which last name to fill after the BIL came, however we just decided to book VFS appointment with his last name DD.

Anyone with similar experience / any views, kindly share your advise here. We seriously do not want to deal with the headache of being rejected at port of entry / job search / any other legal matter due to the discrepancy of the last name.

For your reference:
His MRZ code on passport does not show DD, so it was P<<CC << BB << AA
However we checked on his Visa (Japan and Korea), the MRZ is V<DD<CC<BB<AA
