Hi there!

I'm a little confused about the 'family members' term and national ID. Please read the below, I would be grateful if someone can help me out :)

IMM0008ENU Question:

  • Q9 of form the IMM0008ENU form asks Citizenships. I was born in Bangladesh. However I am a British citizen and have resided in the UK since 1996. My main citizenship is UK, I have put both British and Bangladesh down for this as I am technically a citizen of both countries, and have passports for both.
  • 1) Skipping down to the next page to "National Identity Document". UK citizens do not have a National ID card, however Bangladeshi citizens too. Keeping in mind this isn't my main citizenship and I don't live there, do I need to provide the National Id details for this?
Checklist/supporting document Question:
  • On the checklist for supporting documents - Page 4. It asks for "Most recently issued passport
and all family members (who will accompany you to Canada)"
  • 2) Does it mean most recent for EACH citizenship or just one, UK? Not sure if I need to provide copy for both?
  • 3) If I do need copies for both, will it matter that my Bangladeshi passport is currently expired? Just need to know so I can renew asap..
  • 4) Also this part asks for: "Copies of national identity cards (for yourself and all family members, if applicable), if issued by your country of citizenship or residence" - so I take it I do need to supply the national ID card for Bangladesh regardless that I do not reside there?
  • 5) When it says to include family members too for both the passport part and national identity card part, do I need this for my spouse even though he is sponsoring me (he is a Canadian citizen but also has Bangladesh citizenship)?

Thanks!
