Hi folks,

Some days ago I received the ITA for the PR. I'm currently working on the electronic application for permanent residence (e-APR). Specifically, I'm at the stage where you need to upload the supporting documentation, which depends on the answers I provided in the EE profile creation and the candidate PR application.

I have some questions regarding the documentation that I need to upload:

1- In my EE profile, I mentioned I had a job offer in Canada, but that it was for a job for which no LMIA was required, as I have a post-graduation work permit. Thus, I did not receive any points in my CRS because of that reason. However, the offer of employment is still one of the documents that I need to upload in my e-APR. In my case, what I have is the contract that the company offered me, in which they mention my job title, starting day, salary, work hours, company address, and that it is for a full-time job (among other things). However, the contract lacks the company letterhead, as well as a full description of my duties, which I believe are requirements for the CIC. Is it OK if I upload the contract? Considering that it won't affect my CRS score.

2- In my work history, I included a job I had in Mexico back in 2015. This job only lasted 4 months. Hence, it did not affect my eligibility for the federal skilled work program, neither did I receive any additional points in my CRS score because of it. However, the system is asking me for my employment record of this job. It will be a bit complicated for me to get this document, considering that it would have to be in English. What do you suggest me doing in this case?

In both cases, the easiest thing would be to change my answers in the PR application (where they ask you about your work history, personal history, and other things), as neither of these cases would affect my CRS score or my eligibility for the Express entry programs, but I don't know if this is OK to do, considering the stage of the e-APR in which I am right now.

Thanks for your advice!

Anything that you claim during the express entry pool stage has to be proven with documentation at the document stage. You should have selected that you didn't have a job offer as your job offer isn't valid, and you shouldn't have claimed the Mexico job if you don't have proof. You might get in trouble for misrepresentation if you don't submit documents. I'm not sure what you should do now, probably you should upload letters of explanation...

Thanks, Melanie. For the record, I didn't lie in any of the information I provided in my EE profile. I have a job offer (the system asks you a series of questions, not a single question of "yes" and "no" about your offer being valid), and for the employment records of my job in Mexico, I have pay stubs and other information that I hope will suffice. If not, I will have to get in contact with someone from that company. I was hoping to avoid having to spend time to prove a job that does not affect my eligibility for the PR programs, but apparently I will have to do it anyways.

Bottom line, if a job experience does not give you any additional points in the CRS score or affect your eligibility for the PR programs, don't mention it in your work history. Only mention it on the personal history.

I didn't think you lied, I was advising that if you don't want to/can't prove something then you don't need to put it down. And you can't change what you put during initial stages. You could withdraw and resubmit with accurate information, or try letter of explanation but that might not work

Thanks again, Malenie. Do you know what are the implications of withdrawing and resubmitting my application? Is that going to be a problem with the CIC? Also, I got enough points to receive the ITA thanks to PNP nomination. If I withdraw my original EE application, will I have to apply again for the PNP?
