Hi everyone,

In need of some clarification regarding form " IMM 5562" Supplementary Information - Your travels
I am currently in the process of sponsoring my husband to Canada. Files have been sent and currently being worked on by an Immigration Officer in his country.

They recently sent him an e-mail asking for additional documents. Form IMM 5562 is asking him to list all trips he and if applicable his family members have taken outside his country of origin or of residence.

section a) Easy for him - He has never travelled therefore he put a check mark in the box " did not travel "

section b) Your spouse or common-law partner
section C) Your dependent child 18 years old or older N/A (to him)

** My question is regarding section b) as is refers to me. I am wondering if he is suppose to fill out that part ? I don't live in the same country as him, however, I did travel many times from Canada to his country of origin to visit him. Does he need to list all my visits? OR does that part not concern ME as I do not live in his country of origin?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any support.

Yasmin

The purpose of asking the travel history is to ensure that the applicant hasn't lived in any country for more than 6 months after his/her 18th birthday. If yes, then they will need a Police Certificate from that country.
In your case, because you are sponsorer, you don't need to fill the spouse section of IMM5562.

Hope this helps!!
