Hello,

My mother in law and father in law arrived in late 2012 on a Supervisa. They stayed for 2 years and then left. Now, they want to come back for another 2 years. I've had major conflict with them and stress on our marriage, along with financial trouble, so I don't want to take this responsibility again. What should I do?

Thanks

There's nothing much you can do to stop them from coming here unfortunately, until their visa expires. You can just let them come here, but you don't have to let them in your house or anything.

I always thought when they re-entered I would have to provide another job letter, NOA to prove circumstances have not changed since

Maybe you can try writing to the relevant visa office where your in-laws live.... and state that you are withdrawing your assurance to provide financial support for the duration of their future visits

Its weird. I always thought upon re-entry I would have to provide updated NOAS, assurances, job letter etc..because circumstances may have changed...

Thanks everyone. I got my answer from an immigration lawyer. There is a supervisa renewal application that he sent me. This must be submitted before re-entry with updated job letter, noa etc...

Hi can you tell me what you did? Where did you get the supervisa renewal application in the website? I am in the same boat. My mother in law has caused us troubles. Please let me know what you did?
