Hi, my parents application for Supervisa has been processed, but they were only given a two-year supervisa (until mid-2025) instead of until the end of the validity of their passport (end of 2027). This is due to the fact that their Biometrics will expire on the same date in 2 years!
According to here, my understanding is that Biometrics collection would require Biometrics Instruction Letter (BIL) and that would require an application.
Question: What would be the best strategy to get a BIL so that they can give their Biometrics in Canada during their next trip here (this year)? Would it be possible to ask for a BIL directly from IRCC without submitting an application first? The reason is that there is no VAC or Biometrics collection facility in my country of origin and Biometrics collection would require them an additional trip abroad, which does not seem reasonable given their ages and extra costs involved.
Thank you!
