No, it's not normal. One could argue that the processing time online is 400+ days, but since this is your immediate family, they should be given priority, and July to Jan is a long time. I would suggest, raise a web form to ask about the status.

My mom went back to Pakistan and applied Supervisa in April 2020 pending till now without any indication. I raised web forms and emails but no responses yet. She is going to fly now in 2 weeks to Canada on a her existing visit visa..

I applied for my parents visit vvisa last year and they gotit and travelled in 2021! LAter i applied for their super visa on 1st August and still didnt receiveany update!
Can icall my parents to canada again on visit visa ! Whathappened when you mom's uper visa came ?
Did she leave the country ?

I need some help
My parents got their visit visa and travelled to Canda last year !
I applied for their super visa this year in August and uptil now i didnt receive any information -
Now i am confused - Can i call my parents on their visit visa ??
What will happen if after leaving the home country they got a call for passport submission ? Where will i have to submit their passport ?
And after receiving Super visa , will they have to leave canada and enter again ?
What do you suggest shall i wait for the super visa to come ?
Please help
