Hello, i am hoping someone can help me. My parents currently hold a valid visitor visa and would like to apply for a super visa so they can spend a longer time in Canada with us. When they went to submit their application to send off to Port of Spain they were told that there is a high chance they will NOT get it because they already have a vistor visa and you cannot have a super visa and TRV. They also said immigration will most likely cancel the current TRV as well.
Can someone please help?

Thank you.
Barry.

One cannot hold two visas at same time. If one intends to stay more than 6 months the super visa can be applied. If approved the visitor visa shall be cancelled

Thank you for your response. If the super visa is not approved do you think they will still cancel the current TRV?
