Hi!
Anyone. please advise me...I'm currently in canada on a visitor's visa. I applied for a parent's visa and seemed it reached cic mississauga just last jan 13th. i dont know if i'll be included in the 5000 quota. would it be just alright if i file for a supervisa? would it not affect my stay here on a tourist visa? Ih ad my permit until may 2015 and i have TRV until Dec. 2016. if ever, can I file my supervisa while i'm here in canada on a tourist visa? thanks a lot

May be I'm wrong, but as far as I know to apply for super visa for their parents can only permanent residents and citizens.

yes. its my son who is applying for me. he's a PR already since 2011. thanks a lot for urgent reply.

You should assume your application arrived too late to make the 5000 quota. It's quite possible the cap was reached either January 2nd or 5th. Your application arrived far far too late.

that's why I'm planning to apply for supervisa so that I can stay longer in canada with my son.
