The application status currently shows:

Application status-We received your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.

Would it ever display anything else? like We are processing your application? Or would "Final Decision" directly go from "In progress" to final decision.

Also it has been over 50 days since we have applied and heard nothing back, I know nobody can say when an application will be processed, but at the bare minimum does this mean my application does not need any more documents? forms/signatures etc? I am assuming somebody would have at least given an application a initial look/pass?

It might or might not. Impossible to say.

You just posted the answer yourself:

So, keep waiting.

I know the status is quite self explanatory, but my question was looking for answers that are more pattern/observation driven, not go by the book answers.

"Pattern/observation driven" answers fall into the same realm as the explanation already given.

It is what it is. Sorry.
