Hey guys!

I'm just wondering if anyone has applied recently for super visa for Syrian parents, What's the average wait time for the process and What was the outcome of the decision ? I understand it might be a bit of challenge applying for family members of ties to a country with political unrest but I do believe by understanding the rules of CIC and applying them properly it might be possible.

Let us know, much appreciated.

You can certainly apply. Your parents will want to show strong ties to their home country and proof of funds. Estimated processing times are unfortunately very long these days (over 500 days per the IRCC web site).

My parent currently lives in Sweden and have temp Swedish residence I applied beginning of March and waiting for a update. I was just curious if anyone else has recently applied. I understand the wait time might be lengthy especially with the current strike may have an effect but will see how it unfold.

That's probably going to work in their favour and should decrease processing times for their application (as long as they aren't there in a refugee capacity). Good luck!.

How long does their temporary status last in Sweden? Not being in their home country and not having permanent status in Sweden could create problems because a supervisa is visitor status and they need a home to return to once supervisa stay expires or if they can’t get approved for supervisa insurance. Whether you received PR via being a refugee or whether they’re claimed asylum in Sweden also will have an impact on supervisa application. No harm trying.
