Super visa and passport validity

I am about to apply for the super visa for my mum. However, her passport is expiring next year. Will they issue her a 10 year Super visa or they will make the visa validity match her passport expiration date? Please help answer my question if you have been through the process.

The maximum they can give is until the passport's expiry date. Can't be more than that.

I guess so. It's kinda stupid tho. Some countries don't even issue passport for more than 5 years. Why is Canada so finicky??

My Father In Law and Mother in Law applied for Super Visa with a passport of 6 months validity and got visa for 5 months .. How can we extend that visa while them staying in Pakistan??? Is there any way>>
