Is it true?

I am not sure how this is good news..if FSW apps are considered under CEC, will the FSW applicants not eat up the CEC quota?

May explain why they were increasing the expected intake of CEC application by 3000-4000 next year.

but the increase of 3000 will be offset by the reduction of eligibility to one year canadian experience.

Yahoo,

There i no quota for CEC .. As long as you satisfy CEC criteria .. you are good to apply and eventually approved.

Sorry your wrong, the quota for 2012 was 6-7K See: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/pub/annual-report-2012.pdf
The quota for 2013 will be increased 2-3K

This is not considered news until it's been posted officially by CIC. Also it doesn't make any sense.

Guys,

1. This news is not official yet. So guys please relax.
2. How will this eat up the CEC quota? The new CEC rules that are expected to come into effect will make FSW2 applicants over one year experience eligible for CEC. The only pain the applicants have to go through is to do the paperwork all over again. So either ways CEC applications are going to increase.
3. If CIC decides to do this, this will the most brilliant thinking by Jason Kenney. This should have been done way back. I personally think its fair for FSW2 applications to jump the queue as they are already paying taxes and supporting the economy. The main goal of economic immigration is to get the people who support the economy from day 1 and FSW2 applicants are doing the same. So, this makes a complete sense.

Guys this is my personal thinking and if this rule comes into effect, I will be very happy.

Thanks,
Deepak

CEC applicants also support the economy. They probably supported it even more than fsw2. I've been in Canada since 2005 paying tuition until 2010 and working since 2011 and paying taxes. Doesn't make any sense for them to jump the queue. That just makes me believe this is all a rumor and has no truth behind it.

100% agree with you. The point we are missing here is ,after maybe Jan 2013, FSW2 with 1 year work experience in Canada are eligible CEC applicants. The above change will just avoid them to do double paper work and waste time and money.
