Sum of hours - work experience

Hi guys,

My fiance and I are planning to create our profile for EE this month but we are not sure if his work experience (amount of hours) will be valid. He is a doctor so he works on shifts, and his weekly hours are variable. He has been working for 1 year and 2 months now. He has worked 36 hours for 47 weeks, 24 hours for 8 weeks and 12 hours for maybe 2-3 weeks. When it is all added up, he has worked more than 1560 hours. Is it a problem the fact that he has worked variable amounts of hours in different weeks? Would he need to work for example 24 hours/week EVERY week during 18 months or 30 hours/week EVERY week for 12 months? Or is it ok that he worked different amounts of hours every week because what matters is the sum of hours? Ps: we know that these extra 6 hours in the weeks he has worked 36 hours don't count and we have considered that in our calculations.

Thank you!

If this is Canadian Experience Class the criteria are - at least 12 full months of employment plus 1560 hours worked over those 12 months or longer, if necessary (due to part-time stints, for example).

Its FSW... So it doesn’t matter if different amounts of hours are worked each week as long as in total it sums 1560 hours (and the hours over 30 are not counted), right?

Yes, but for FSW there is the additional minimum qualifying requirement of 12 months of continuous full-time skilled work (or the equivalent in part time) in a single NOC. CEC work needn't be continuous as a minimum criterion.
