What are some good low tuition colleges in toronto for a refugee claimant who cannot afford international tuition as such of Centennial and Seneca?

I’ve been considering Toronto school of management as well, it would be helpful if someone can give me some information about that college as well. Thank you!

Don’t waste your money. Wait until you have status if you must but go to a better school.

same thing here. I applied refugee claimant on end of may 2021. I got the notice of less complex on October. since then nothing hear from IRB. just trying to work and improve my English. I am not going to school right now but it is getting so boring and feeling like have no goals. I am planning to go to school after hearing or this thing done. I do not know what to do anymore except keep waiting for this . what would you guys do if you was me ? I am open for any advice ( my plan is wait until hearing and then go to college or university but first take the ESL classes under college or university)

that would be too long of a wait not knowing what the outcome would be, how is TSoM tho?

Toronto School of Management is a private college. It has a terrible reputation in general and with employers. Don't waste your money.

Pick a public college like Humber, Seneca, etc.

You can still work while waiting to get approval so you qualify for domestic fees. No point studying if the program won’t lead to job goof opportunities. Most employers will have never heard of Toronto School of Management.

Are there any other schools that might do a better job, the only concern is tuition atm tbh

I would correct this to say that most employers (at least in Toronto) have in fact heard of this school. This school is widely regarded as a joke and it's bad reputation is well known. I personally know two immigrants who attended this school and then actually hid this information in their resume since having this school listed worked against them when applying for jobs.

As others have already mentioned, I won't suggest even having them as an option (and I work for another college but under the same parent company).

Well don't go to the Toronto School of Management. That is literally throwing your money away. You're better off waiting until you are a PR and can take advantage of domestic tuition to attend a real school.

Thank you so much for replying, but as I’ve said, can’t wait for 3-4 years that would be way too late for me.

Then you're in a challenging situation. This school honestly has an absolutely terrible reputation. I'm not joking when I say that I know individuals who attended this school and subsequently took it off their resume when applying for jobs in Canada. That's how bad a reputation it has. I personally wouldn't attend this school under any circumstances. Ultimately your choice of course. Just understand what you are getting yourself into.
