Hello dear forumees,

I got an email notice for submitting my passport to get a landing visa. In the email, I need to prepare a prepaid return envelope for them to mail me back the passports when they are done. However, I couldn't find a courier in the US who provides this kind of service. I tried UPS and fedex, they all denied my request.

I bet a lot of people here have gone through this process? I am grateful for any suggestions or sharing of experiences.

Thanks in advance,

Eddi

FedEx and UPS will absolutely do it; it's possible they just didn't understand what you were asking for. Here are the official instructions to create a return shipment label for FedEx yourself online:

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...sport/cross-border-shipment-instructions.html

Alternately, you can tick a box somewhere in the process to generate a return label while you are creating your forward label.

Take your label(s) to a FedEx location and ask them to help you choose an appropriate inner (return) and outer (forward) envelope and have them help you attach the return documents to the return envelope. If they won't give you a return envelope, just include the return label and customs forms in the forward envelope; IRCC will use their own envelope to return your documents to you.

Thank you very much. I wish I knew those instructions you provided in the link. I put every letter of their address on the label...It was hard to fit so many words, but I did it....Whatever....I only came to see your reply after I shipped my passports away.
I had to create the shipment myself on Fedex.com. I went to the store, and the lady there is not familiar with this procedure. She confidently created the outbound label for me, but she couldn't create the return label. So I had to do it all over again..on..fedex.com....
If you do it online yourself, you only need to check the box of "create return label", then you are done. It is not that hard at all.
