Hello,

I am getting my application ready to send tomorrow. My question has to do with the instructions for sending supporting photos. How have other applicants included pictures in their application and has CIC sent back an entire application because the supporting photos were included incorrectly?

The instructions say:

"Photos must be loose. Do not send them in binders, albums, frames or other such containers." Well, clearly they don't mean just to toss them in the envelope with the rest of the paperwork. So I was going to put them in those sheets that have inserts for each photo. They are designed to eventually be put into a binder, but I wasn't going to do that. It that OK? I also have a separate sheet with numbered thumbnails and descriptions of each photo corresponding to a number on the back of the photo.

Alternatively, I could put all the photos in a 6x9 envelope in the package.

I appreciate any insight on this question

I made a Word doc with about 2-3 photos per page and wrote captions underneath and printed on regular printer paper.

I explained that we were not submitting the original photos for sentimental reasons and that originals will be provided if requested.

You can send them loose - put them in a separate smaller envelope so they will stay together during transit. Or you can print them a few to a page, with descriptions printed next to them. I would not put them on the sheets that have inserts for each photo. The visa officer will probably just take them out.

I put them in smaller envelope with title on it like "first time we met" " trip to...." "Wedding" etc

I actually separated the pictures by events and bunched them into separate full sized plastic sleeves for each events.

Thank you all for your responses. They have been very helpful!!
