Hi,

I have submitted my work permit application on MyCic. I know for sure they will ask me for more police certificates since i was in some countries for more than 6 months. Anyone has been already asked for more docs to provide? Please share experience
 
Hi, I am not at that stage yet as still waiting for my LMO however I will be using MyCIC once it has been processed.. If you know you will be asked for the certificates will you request them now just in case? Otherwise it will hold up your application..

On MyCIC, did you find the process easy?

I dont have to wait for LMO because i am applying for working holiday visa. But regarding certificates, yes i already have FBI from USA because last year i had to cancel my application since i was waiting for it for very long time. Now I have it ready.

MYcic is easy to use but its getting errors very often now and operates very slow sometimes.

We hope for Vancouver or Toronto. We are doing those applications together with my boyfriend and really dreaming of becoming permanent residents someday in Canada.
 
Vancouver is where my application is :) I hope you both get some great news soon and all our dreams do become a reality ;D
 
Wow nice. So what application do you have? Young professionals or working holiday? Or something else? Where r u from?
 
I have 2 applications on the go, 1st FSW and I have a job offer so have been waiting for a positive AEO since Sept last year, because that is taking so long we have also applied for an LMO so I can apply for work permit and hopefully be there in the next few months! I am from England.

Do you have any jobs lined up for when you arrive? Where are you both from?

You seem also to be working very hard on that. I am from Estonia and he is from Slovakia. We both work for IBM. He hopes to get job as accounting analyst and i would like to have some administrative work in the office.

After working holiday we want to apply as young professional because we cant apply under the same category.
And i read that after 12 m of work experience it is possible to apply under Canada experienced class. So this js our plan so far. Have to get the LOI first and then we can dream for real :D
 
Wouldn't IBM be able to transfer you both? I am sure we will all get some great news soon.. I feel like I have been waiting for more than a year for everything to be processed and not been able to actually submit my application. You both must be very excited :)
 
I was checking positions in IBM in Canada but they have more IT positions than administrative. In finance it is easier to find smth within IBM but we are waiting till we have at least 2 year experience here in IBM. Then next year 2014 in May or beginning of summer hopefully to move to Canada. We are very excited. This whole year started very nicely so fingers crossed for everything. Hard work has to pay off someday.

Fngers crossed for you as well.

It looks so much easier to move to Canada permanently than USA.
