I could not find any topic regarding impact of covid19 on current PR applications, CoPR, validation of PR and moving to Canada so I am posting about my situation with some questions that I need answer to. Hopefully some of you have gone or are going trough same and can answer my questions (in Red).
My current situation
I submitted my complete PR applications (all required documents) in January, before lockdown. My profile was last accessed on May 14th 2020 (review of additional documents). According to my profile the estimated completion date (ECD) was July 18th 2020. Currently the ECD has passed, my profile is showing 100% complete, but still have not received any news on my PR.
Validation of CoPR (Landing by Air)
I don’t need visa to Travel to Canada, but once I receive my CoPR and allowed to travel to CA, the Canadian Government requires me to have an “quarantine plan” due to covid19. This plan needs to include housing where I am going to isolate myself, how am I going to go from airport to this quarantine housing and how am I planning to get my groceries.
I applied for Express Entry and was eligible for Federal Skilled Worker Program in all province (except Quebec). My initial plan was to move to Ontario, but due to Covid19 situation and requirements of CA (quarantine plan, economy, etc.) it might be easier for me to settle/land in Quebec so my questions are
Once I have completed my mandatory quarantine I need to get my SIN and Health Card.
Hopefully I will have a job before moving to CA, but for housing I am going to rely on AirBnB for couple of weeks.
I will appreciate if someone can answer some or all questions regarding my situation. If there is anything else I need to do or think about before moving to Canada please let me know.

- How did you arrange housing & transport for quarantine from outside CA?

- Can I fly to Montreal to validate my CopR (I have a friend there that can help me with the 14 quarantine like housing, transport and food?
- With my Permanent Residency (with Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program) can I work and live in Montreal right away?
- Can I apply for Social Insurance Number and Health Card in Quebec despite having applied for Express Entry and getting PR?
Once I have completed my mandatory quarantine I need to get my SIN and Health Card.
- How long does it take to get Social Insurance Number?
- Can you get and start a job if your application for SIN is in process? Or not started yet?
- Do you have to go in person to get your SIN? If yes, what is the process like?
- How long before I can apply for Health Card (in Ontario or Quebec)?
