Submitted closed & open work permit applications

Hi, I am currently employed at a University and have an LMIA exempt closed work permit. That ends on the 26th March. When I applied to extend it last, I applied for an open work permit under the spousal sponsorship program at the same time, as I was eligible for that (and advised to submit both). However, I only ever received approval for the extension of the closed permit. Now in my IRCC account it just says "approved", but there is no mention of the open work permit. I tried messaging IRCC but they didn't answer. Does anyone know what might be going on?

Who advised you to submit both? IRCC likely decided to process the CWP vs the SOWP.
