study visa

hi, im planning to plly for my sds visa from india in the coming weeks and i have my offer letter from humber for the fall intake for a 3 semester course. now, with all the delays and bans going on im not sure if this would be the right decision. or if i will actually get my visa before the commencement of college.
any suggestions?
also, i have a valid tourist visa, can i somehow go to canada with that and from there apply for a study permit or would this be illegal?
please, any suggestions are welcome! im really hoping for some positive news.

No one can tell you if it is the right time to apply. If you enter Canada on a visitor visa (can’t right now unless authorized), your study permit still is processed from your home country. It is not processed from within Canada. So then you have to show even stronger ties since you are in Canada when applying.
