Currently I live in Uk with valid work visa and I want to apply for study permit Canada . but one of my friend last year was refused Canada study visa ,he applied from UK , he also had valid work visa and rejection cause was immigration status and purpose of visit.
Can anyone kindly explain why Canada visa office refused visa and give reason immigration status even though holding valid visa . My friend and me both are from India and living in Uk with work visa .

Because the work visa you and your friend hold is temporary which means you have no ties to your current country of residence (or any other country except Canada I assume). This may lead the visa officer to believe that you have no intent to leave before the expiry of your Canadian visa if you were approved. You need to show some evidence that you have something else outside Canada that will likely make you leave after finishing your studies and that you will not overstay your visa if you are approved to come to Canada. It is just 2 weeks since I apply for study permit I have submitted all the required documents travel history,why I wanted to come back to Ethiopia, sufficient fund. But I still didn't get it why they rejected me is there another reason?
