I have been told paper is better... in my case it was better because they have a set waiting time of 30-40 days processing and it does not vary, I was able to submit as many documents as I wanted and I did not have to have my documents translated, so I was able to submit them in the original language.
Today I called the CIC and managed to get through (amazing I know) and they advised me that the processing timeline for the date I applied is basically all a lie. There is a back log of applications that have not yet been processed from Feb and my application won't be processed in time for my program start date (unhelpful) and I have basically lost my place on the program. Not only that, my IEC expires May 30th, and the next program does not start until September which means I am going to be a 'Visitor' for 3 months over the summer, where I could be working, earning money to pay the ridiculous international tuition fees that I need to pay..
